A highly sensitive pulse induction instrument,
the Megapulse III metal detector is an analog
only machine. Straightforward analog controls
make this an easy to use model. This machine
can be easily calibrated on a number of
levels and offers the following features:
- Delay control to allow for various soil
types
- Sensitivity control to allow you to manage
the sensitivity of the coil
- Interference control to allow you to remove
electrical interference from power lines
- Threshold control to allow you to ignore
mineralization in your search area
- Reset button in order to handle threshold
and balance control changes on the fly
- Ability to choose between automatic
metal detection or semi-automatic metal
detection
- Signal Intensity meter to give you a sense
of just how strong your “hit”
is

Antenna options
Antenna Options for the MegapulseIII
are the same as for the PI Penetrator 5500, and include different
sized blanket antenna to cover the
ground more evenly. These come in
3 different sizes:
- 1.5' (towed by hand)
- 3' (towed by hand and towbar)
- 6' (towed by towbar only)
