The SuperOmniPlus is a rugged, hand-held metal detector
designed to detect metallic weapons and objects using a non-contact,
physical screening procedure.
The SuperOmniPlus incorporates high quality construction
with a sophisticated electronic design for reliability. The Piezo Audio
System offers extended battery life due to extremely low power consumption.
This is particularly valuable when screening the general public in high
volume applications that are typically encountered in airports, correctional
facilities and courthouses.
Features
- Two user selectable preset sensitivity levels (High and Low)
- Light weight, 400 grams (14 oz) with a 9-volt Alkaline battery, for ease of use
- Omni directional detection probe detects metals (ferrous and non-ferrous) equally from any direction
- The detection of metal objects is indicated by an audible signal (Model A) or the vibration motor (Model A-V) and LED visual alarm.
- Very strong dark gray casing made of high impact nylon and fiber glass and shaped for an improved grip
- 9 volt Alkaline battery provides over 250 hours of normal operations (Model A and Model A-S).
- No false alarm when the unit is moved rapidly up and down
- Three color LED indicates the unit set-up and functions:
- Green for ON at High sensitivity level
- Flashing Green for ON at Low sensitivity level
- Red for alarm
- Orange when using the vibration option (Model A-V) or the silent mode option (Model A-S)
- LED alternates between Green to Orange to indicate low battery level
